With this pregnancy has come some skin irregularities, mostly on my face, and I’ve had an incredibly hard time getting them under control. The fluctuation of hormones has caused outbreaks of acne, dry and itchy red spots, and uneven skin tone and trying to find products to help get rid of all of those things isn’t so easy. I pretty much accepted it and figured I’d deal with it until Baby arrives and just hoped it’d gradually get better afterwards!

But a couple of weeks ago this super cool local store in my city, Modern Supply Co. , posted a photo on Instagram of Phoenix Facial Oil by Herbivore Botanicals and Kali, the owner, mentioned how it was helping her pregnancy skin within just a couple of days of use. I decided to try it out too, especially after reading more reviews of it online and hearing nothing but positive feedback.

I cannot rave enough about this facial oil! Not only has it significantly brought down the pink and blotchy spots on my face as well as helped the itchiness almost completely disappear but it’s been evening out my skin tone! It’s regenerating my skin, just like the  description on their website said it would, is leaving it feeling soft and hydrated, doesn’t leave it oily, and it also smells incredible. I’ve used the Phoenix Facial Oil under my makeup and I love how it adds an extra glow to my skin without compromising the longevity of the makeup. It’s an all natural product, which I prefer to use, and looks pretty sitting on my dresser (or in our medicine cabinet…or on the counter…) which I think is a nice added bonus.

Phoenix Facial Oil is uber luxurious and definitely comes at a higher price point because of its quality, but I think it’s worth every cent. They cold press or steam distill their oils which leads to a premium quality oil, do not add any fillers allowing the product to last longer since you use less of it (I use about 3-5 drops each morning and evening) and their products are 100% natural and 100% vegan. This particular oil contains botanical oils which help to rejuvenate and rehydrate your skin at a deeper level. Rosehip Oil, Sea Buckthorn Oil, CoQ10, Chia Seed Co2, Meadowfoam Oil, and Neroli Oil are the main ingredients it contains which all provide you with natural forms of vitamins and fatty acids that aid your skin in repairing below skin level, providing you with that extra glow, prevents premature aging and protects your skin.

I’ve been using it for about a week and a half now, twice daily, after I’ve cleansed my face with Burt’s Bees Cucumber & Sage Facial Cleansing Towelettes (I’m still looking for a better, more natural option for a facial cleanser) and I honestly can’t believe the difference it has made. Not only is it a visible difference but my skin feels so much better.  Guys, this stuff really is liquid gold in a bottle, just like Kali said! I’d recommend this product to a friend in a heartbeat! They have it available, along with other facial oils they carry, in a roller so you can try it out without investing too much money into it right away.

Now to figure out facial cleansers…I’d love suggestions!

*Please know that this review has not been endorsed and is 100% my own opinion. I think this is a great product to invest in and wanted to share how wonderful my skin has felt and started to look from using it!*
