MY MAKEUP BAG ESSENTIALS

I try to keep my makeup bag as minimal as possible since I don’t usually wear a lot of it and like to keep it pretty natural looking and simple. Here’s what I use on a regular day!

Organic Virgin Coconut Oil : After I wash my face I always put on some of this coconut oil. It keeps my skin moisturized, and gives it a nice glow under my makeup plus works as a replacement for primer.

Dior Diorskin Forever & Ever Wear Extreme Protection & Hold Makeup Base  : I love this makeup base! It really improves the hold of my foundation, and I find it does make my foundation last much longer throughout the day. Although it can be used as a primer, I use it after the Coconut Oil for extra coverage and hold.

Dior Star Fluid Foundation : This lightweight foundation is perfect for my skin because it evens my skin tone and still moisturizes my skin. If I want more coverage I put on a second layer.

Dior Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer : I’m pretty new to the whole concealer world but so far I’m liking this one! It minimizes the puffiness, dark circles and brightens my skin while being natural looking and incredibly moisturizing.

Wonder’lash Lift Me Up Rimmel London Mascara : I tried Dior Diorshow Mascara but that just flaked off throughout the day which isn’t attractive at all. So I’m currently trying out this new one and it’s actually working quite well! It gives my lashes good volume, length, is pretty much clump free and it stays on throughout the entire day.

Hemp Lip Conditioner : I love this entire line! I find my lips can get dry very easily, especially when I wear a lot of lipstick or in the wintertime. So when I am not wearing lipstick I put this lip balm on and it repairs my lips and leaves them feeling soft and smooth.

MAC Lipstick : The first time I tried MAC lipstick, it won me over. I’ve been a fan ever since, especially of Ruby Woo. If they ever get rid of that one I may just cry.

Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Promade : I love this stuff! It’s really easy to apply and just as easy to blend. Way better than any pencil or gel I’ve tried. It’s pretty close to being smudge-free and it’s waterproof which is great for hot climates, especially when that sweating happens.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel : This clear gel holds your brows in place all day long. I like to use it overtop of the DIPBROW Promade so it sets the shape and colour.

bareMinerals All-Over Face Colour in warmth : Admittedly I have never used bronzer before, but then I came across a makeup routine and the idea of bronzer suddenly intrigued me. This one has won me over.

Sephora Collection Pro Airbrush #55 : Since I’ve never used bronzer before I asked a lady at Sephora which brush I should use and she suggested this one. I like that it disperses the bronzer well and lightly for a natural look so I can apply a lighter amount or add more if I want to look extra sun kissed.

L’OREAL True Match Super Blendable Blush in cool : This blush is lightweight, blends super well and comes in a variety of options for different skin tones.

Joe Fresh Retractable Blush Brush : Sometimes you just don’t feel like spending $50 on a new makeup brush! I must say though, this brush is high quality and low priced. It has impressed me a lot and I love how it’s so easy to store.

Sycomore by Chanel : I know it’s not a makeup product but it is my all-time favourite perfume and I can’t help but bring it with me! It’s the perfect mixture of everything I’ve ever wanted in a scent… woody, spicy, dry, and enchanting.
