I’ve been looking for a specific type of scent for about two years now without much luck. I don’t like anything too floral or too musky, but wanted to find a middle ground. I wanted a scent which a man could wear but that wouldn’t make me seem like I was wearing a mans cologne. I wanted a scent of my own! Seems like quite the task, right?
Well, after years of smelling too many kinds of perfumes and colognes, I found the one! Sycomore by Chanel. Cue the angels hallelujahs here.
It’s subtle spices, woody, vetiver and incense-like smell last throughout the day. When I spray it on I’m reminded of campfires, walks through forests and the open air. Yet it is refined and sophisticated and is neither specificly manly or womanly. You can wear this incredible scent in summer since it isn’t overwhelming but is also great for winter because of it’s slightly musky smell. It is worth every penny, and I have to admit it was pretty freakin’ cool purchasing my first item from an actual Chanel Store, in New York of course.
Be warned though…you may want to smell your wrists constantly if you’re wearing it. It’s intoxicating.

If you like that woodsy campfire smell the lotion from Noble Isle in Fireside is amazing (but pricey)! I bought it from Barney’s a few years ago and the smell is intoxicating. Definitely worth checking out.
