The Moscow Mule is hands down my favourite drink, and I’ve been majorly missing it since we’ve found out we were having a little one (y’know the whole no alcohol thing). So I decided it was more than time to master the mocktail version. And I must say, I think I’ve got the perfect mixture down. I love ginger, like really love it, so my version might be a bit more ginger-y then some would prefer so just keep that in mind before you put the amount of ginger beer in that I did!
Ingredients:
1/2 c. – 2/3 c. Ginger Beer (depends how much ginger flavor you want)
3 tbsp. Lime Juice (fresh)
3 tbsp. Tonic Water
Mix all 3 ingredients together in the glass of your choice (choose that copper moscow mule mug if you have it) and fill the rest up with ice cubes. Stir it all together. Add a lime wedge for garnish. Drink up!
I used tonic water and not club soda (or carbonated or mineral water) because tonic water isn’t like the rest of them. It has a much stronger flavour than the others and a distinctive bitter flavour which really complements cocktails, and mocktails, much better than the other options such as club soda which will water it down a bit.
